The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan released a while back and since then there has been no stopping the Siddharth Anand directorial at the box office. Also starring Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham the Yash Raj Films production which opened with a bang has continues to sustain its momentum with a steady flow of collections week after week.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of Pathaan within the domestic territory of Delhi-UP while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 84.76 cr, Pathaan has emerged as the third all-time highest grossing within this territory. Though the film does not manage to surpass the collections of previous releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 93.38 cr and KGF – Chapter 2 which collected 91.68 cr it does manage to over shadow other releases. In fact, Pathaan has managed to surpass the business of films like Dangal which collected Rs. 80.25 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan which collected Rs. 70.6 cr, and Sanju which collected Rs. 70.56 cr amongst others.
As of now, Pathaan continues to run in theatres with audience patronizing the film in droves. Given this response from the audience and the fact that the film faces little to no competition at the box office, trade predictions state that the business of Pathaan is sure to see an increase. In fact, it will come as no surprise if the film manages to surpass other leaders on the list of highest grossers within this territory.
