Bollywood actress Kajol celebrated Girl Child Day on Thursday, October 11, by sharing a special post for her daughter Nysa Devgan on Instagram. She posted a photo of Nysa, in which the star kid is seen flashing her million-dollar smile while sporting a traditional look in a lehenga.
In the caption, Kajol wrote, “May we all have daughters who we raise to be strong and beautiful; and yet they manage to pleasantly surprise us with a Gen Z twist to that upbringing! I thank my @nysadevgan for educating and bringing me around to her way of thinking, time and again, to stop me from stagnating.” She also added the hashtag “#girlchildday”.
For the unversed, Girl Child Day is celebrated annually on October 11 to raise awareness about the importance of girls’ rights and to promote gender equality. It is a day to celebrate the achievements of girls and to recommit ensuring that they have the same opportunities as boys to reach their full potential.

Coming to the professional front, Kajol recently made her OTT debut with The Trial, an 8-episode web show streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Her last big-screen project was Salaam Venky. Currently, she is working on her next, Do Patti. The upcoming Netflix original will also star Kriti Sanon.
The forthcoming suspense thriller will be directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, popularly known as BOB. Produced by Kathha Pictures and co-produced by Kriti Sanon under her banner Blue Butterfly Films, it is expected to transport audiences to the mesmerizing hills of North India.
