Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr. Shriram Nene wrote moving messages a day after the former’s mother and the latter’s mother-in-law Snehalata Dixit passed away. She was 91 years old. She died at their Mumbai residence on Sunday, March 12. According to reports, her cremation took place in Worli, Mumbai yesterday at 3pm.
Taking to Instagram, Madhuri shared a picture featuring her along with her late mother. She discussed how her mother Snehalata Dixit taught her to appreciate and cherish life. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Woke up this morning to find Aai’s room empty. It feels surreal. She taught us to embrace and celebrate life. She gave so much to so many people. We will miss her dearly but she will live on in our memories. Her wit, positivity and grace were infectious. We will celebrate her life together through our memories. Om shanti om.”

Netizens, including members from the film industry, paid their heartfelt condolences over the demise of Madhuri’s mother. Actress Mouni Roy commented, “I’m so sorry ma’am. Sending love …,” Raveena Tandon, “Om Shanti.”
Shriram Nene, Madhuri’s husband, too paid respect to his mother-in-law in an Instagram post. Dr. Nene shared a picture with his mother-in-law on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, “Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dikshit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones. Am emotionally and physically drained. But the love of my family, friends and all of you have made this bearable. She was a saint: full of life, wisdom, patience, and a sense of humour that pierced all barriers. She will be missed, but never forgotten. Her memories will keep her alive forever for all of us.”

Last year, Madhuri Dixit posted a heartfelt message on social media in honour of her mother’s 90th birthday. Sharing pictures of her mother, she captioned, “Happy Birthday, Aai! They say a mother is a daughter’s bestfriend. They couldn’t be any more right. From everything that you’ve done for me, the lessons that you’ve taught have been the biggest gift for me from you. I wish you only good health & happiness!”
