South Korean actor Lee Je Hoon’s venture into acting was a tale of calling. He had joined to study biotechnology when he realized his calling was in acting. It was not until the 2011 movie Bleak Night that he found a breakthrough. He then went onto play memorable roles in movies like Architecture 101, The Frontline and dramas like Tomorrow, with You, Signal, including the latest hit thriller series Taxi Driver.

1. SIGNAL (2016)
Signal is a fantasy thriller drama with Lee Je Hoon in the lead. The drama tells the story of Park Hae Young, a police officer who chances upon a walkie-talkie allowing him to contact Lee Jae Han, a police officer in the past. The two, along with Cha Soo Hyun, Hae Young’s boss, team up and solve cold cases. The drama went onto to win critical and fan acclaim for its gripping narrative and crisp storytelling. It was the drama that marked Lee Je Hoon’s return from the military enlistment.

2. TOMORROW WITH YOU (2017)
Lee Je Hoon paired up opposite Shin Min Ah for the first time in the drama Tomorrow, With You. He plays the role of Yoon So Joon, a real estate company CEO who can travel back and forth in time when he takes the subway. He uses his ability to change his future and comes across Song Ma Rin who he believes can help change his future. 3. TAXI DRIVER (2021)
Based on the webtoon of the same name, Taxi Driver is undoubtedly one of the most popular K-dramas and the one drama which brought newfound fame to Lee Je Hoon. Spanning over two seasons with the third season in the works, Taxi Driver is quite the crime thriller to whet one’s appetite for thrilling mystery stories. 4. MOVE TO HEAVEN (2021)
Cho Sang Gu is an ex-convict and uncle to the 20-year-old autistic boy Han Geu Roo. After Geu Roo’s father passes away, Sang Gu becomes Geu Roo’s guardian and the two carry forward Geu Roo’s father business of crime scene cleaning and delivery of items to the bereaved family. Sang Gu only does so to gain money and inheritance left behind by Geu Roo’s father, but the uncle-nephew duo soon start to gel well with each other. 5. COLLECTORS (2020)
Lee Je Hoon plays Kang Dong Goo, an infamous grave robber in the movie Collectors. He is offered a dangerous job proposition by an art curator named Yoon Se Hee (played by Shin Hye Sun). Collectors is through and through a fun comic caper with a dash of entertainment. 6. PHANTOM DETECTIVE (2016)
Phantom Detective is a retelling of the popular Korean folklore of Hong Gil Dong. The story is set in the 90s and Lee Je Hoon plays the role of Hong Gil Dong, a detective and a vigilante who helps those in need. This noir-tinged movie is quite entertaining to watch, especially with Lee Je Hoon’s coming timing and quirky antics. 7. TIME TO HUNT (2020)
Time to Hunt is the movie that got Lee Je Hoon the Award for Best Actor at the 56th Baeksang Awards. He stars as Jun Seok, an ex-convict who plans a rather dangerous life ahead in a bleak dystopian future.
