The Dinesh Vijan produced Stree 2 is on an overdrive at the box office as its advance booking has resulted in tickets selling like hot cupcakes. According to data received on Tuesday at 10 AM, Stree 2 has sold approximately 1.40 Lakh tickets across the Top 3 national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – for Independence Day.
The film is running in a league of its own despite a 3-way clash with Vedaa & Khel Khel Mein. Infact, to call this scenario a clash would be an insult to the domination of Stree 2, as it’s a one horse race, with the remaining 2 films failing to sell even 10,000 tickets.
Stree 2 is headed to take a Rs. 40 crore start at the box office now and this is an unprecedented thing, as it’s a number none anticipated a week back. The film is already a HIT film based on advance booking, and we need to see how big a hit it becomes going forward.
The film is confirmed to take the biggest opening of 2024, by surpassing the previous record holder, Fighter.
