Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat recently shared candid revelations about the inappropriate behavior she faced from male actors during her early years in the industry. In a viral video interview, Mallika discussed how some Bollywood heroes would make late-night calls, expecting her to meet them, assuming that her bold roles on screen reflected her personal boundaries.

In a viral video surfacing on Reddit, Mallika recalled her encounters, saying, “Some heroes would call me and say, ‘Come and see me at night.’ And I would ask, ‘Why should I come and see you at night? For what?’ Their response was, ‘You do bold roles on screen, so what’s the problem with meeting me at night?’” She further explained that many actors felt entitled to cross personal boundaries based on the characters she portrayed. “They were thinking, ‘If she can do bold scenes on screen, she can compromise with us off-screen too.’ But I am not like that,” she firmly stated.
Mallika Sherwat Recalls Disturbing Experience During a Film Shoot
Mallika also shared a troubling experience while shooting a blockbuster film in Dubai. “The hero would knock on my door at midnight, and I thought he’d break it down. He wanted to come inside my bedroom. I was like, ‘No, it’s not going to happen,’” she revealed. Following this incident, the actor never worked with her again.
Mallika Sherawat, who entered Bollywood in 2002 with Jeena Sirf Merre Liye, rose to fame with her performance in the 2004 film Murder. Over the years, she has appeared in films such as Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Welcome, and Khwahish. She also ventured into Hollywood with films like Hisss and Politics of Love. Mallika is now set to return to the big screen with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.
