S.S. Rajamouli, best known for films like Baahubali and RRR, found himself under the scanner when major allegations were thrown against him by a certain Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao. The latter has accused the filmmaker of ruining his professional and personal lives. He has claimed that he used to be a good friend of the renowned filmmaker but the latter asked him to back down from a love triangle which resulted in their fallout.
According to recent reports, a video posted on Mana Stars have gone viral where Srinivasa Rao has made these accusations. “India’s number one director, SS Rajamouli and Rama Rajamouli, are the reason for my suicide. You might think I am doing this for publicity, but this is my final letter. Everyone from MM Keeravaani to Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Hanu Raghavapudi knows how close I have been to Rajamouli for years now. I never thought a woman could come between us,” Rao said in the video. He sent the same along with a letter to Mettu Police station in a bid to take legal action against the RRR filmmaker.
Furthermore, Rao alleged that despite him backing down from the love triangle, Rajamouli continued to torture him. Asserting that he has been single all his life, Srinivas went on to add in the video, “He asked me to sacrifice my love for her, and while I didn’t agree at first, I did later on. He believed I’d told people about this, and he began torturing me after we got into an argument. We worked together till Yamadonga (2007), but he ruined my life after that. He tortured me so much since he became a big shot. I am 55 years old and have lived a single life”. In the same note, he has urged the police authorities to make Rajamouli take a lie-detector test.
