Netflix has unveiled the trailer and key art for its upcoming film Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez. Lopez takes on the role of Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant data analyst with a cynical outlook and a deep suspicion of artificial intelligence. When a rogue AI emerges, Atlas is thrust into a mission to capture it. But there’s a twist: Atlas and the AI share a mysterious connection from the past. As the situation spirals out of control, Atlas is forced to make a difficult decision – trust the very AI she fears or watch humanity succumb to its power.
Directed by Brad Peyton, known for films like Rampage and San Andreas, Atlas promises a thrilling ride. The trailer hints at a high-tech future where humanity’s fate rests on the shoulders of one woman.

Joining Lopez on this mission are Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong along with Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, and Lana Parrilla. The collaboration between Peyton and Lopez, along with Netflix’s backing, has generated significant buzz for the film.
The logline reads, “Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
Directed by Brad Peyton, the movie is written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. Atlas launches globally on Netflix on Friday, May 24th.
