Janhvi Kapoor has made headlines yet again, but this time not for her on-screen prowess, but for her personal life. At the screening of her father Boney Kapoor’s production, Maidaan starring Ajay Devgn, on Tuesday, April 9, Janhvi confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya.
Dressed elegantly in an all-white pantsuit, she exuded confidence as she graced the event, her hair flowing freely and matching heels adding a touch of grace. However, what truly caught the attention of onlookers and fans alike was a subtle yet significant accessory adorning her neckline—a delicate necklace with the name ‘Shiku’ delicately engraved upon it. It marked the first public acknowledgment of her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, though they have been seen together on various occasions. As paparazzi captured moments from the screening and shared them across social media platforms, fans were quick to notice the personalized adornment.
Boney Kapoor recently shared some insights about his daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. Speaking to Zoom, Boney Kapoor said, “I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he can never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So, I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set up.”
Janhvi Kapoor sort of confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya on Koffee With Karan 8 too. From casual lunch and dinner dates to attending family gatherings and even vacations, the duo’s appearances haven’t gone unnoticed. Notably, Shikhar was also present at Khushi Kapoor’s birthday celebration and Anil Kapoor’s birthday party. They recently also went to Tirumala together.
Shikhar Pahariya hails from a notable background as the grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde. Reports suggest that he and Janhvi were in a serious relationship previously, though they later parted ways. However, almost a year ago, they reconciled and since have made various public sightings.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor has an array of line-up including Devara: Part 1, a movie with Ram Charan and Suriya respectively, Uljah, Sunny Sankskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and Mr and Mrs Mahi.
