National Award winning music composer-turned-actor and producer GV Prakash Kumar is all set to enter into the Pan-India realm with Indian Cinema’s first sea-horror thriller, Kingston And The Cursed Sea. While the teaser has done its job among the audiences and has generated significant buzz, we have exclusively learned that the much-anticipated trailer of the Pan-India film is all set to be unveiled on February 27. Adding another layer of excitement is that the trailer will be launched by actor Sivakartikeyan.
A source close to the team said, “Sivakarthikeyan and GV Prakash Kumar share a deep bond of mutual respect and admiration. Over the years, their friendship has only grown stronger, both personally and professionally. The duo created history last year with Amaran, where GV Prakash delivered a powerful musical score for the film. Their collaboration struck the right chord with audiences, further cementing their successful partnership as an actor and music composer.”
The source added, “For the much-anticipated trailer launch of Pan-India Kingston, the makers aimed to bring on board a superstar with an immense fan following, someone who could amplify the excitement surrounding the film. Given their close camaraderie and Sivakarthikeyan’s massive appeal, he became the perfect choice to unveil the trailer, making the moment even more special for fans.”
Directed by debutant Kamal Prakash, Kingston promises to be a gripping cinematic experience that blends action, emotion, and intrigue. The film features Divya Bharathi as the female lead and Yogi Babu in an important role. It marks GV Prakash Kumar’s 25th film as an actor and is set to hit theatres on March 7, 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Kingston is envisioned as a trilogy. It is designed with universal appeal and explores the theme of a sea-horror thriller that aims to excite audiences. The film, produced by Zee Studios and Parallel Universe Pictures, will showcase the film’s high-stakes storyline, adrenaline-pumping action sequences, and a strong emotional core that ties the plot together.
