Rasha Thadani is officially stepping into Telugu cinema, and she’s doing it in style. The young actress, who made her Bollywood debut earlier this year with Azaad, has now boarded director Ajay Bhupathi’s next film, currently referred to as AB4. The announcement was made across social media platforms by the makers—Vyjayanthi Movies, Swapna Cinema and Anandi Art Creations—marking her entry into the South industry.
The yet to be titled film is already generating significant buzz as it marks the launch of another industry newcomer: Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, the nephew of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. His debut has been keenly anticipated, and with Rasha joining the cast, the project has gained added attention among fans of both Bollywood and Tollywood.
Rasha took to Instagram to share her excitement, revealing her first look from the film—a sporty and stylish avatar featuring casual denims, a black crop tee, and a bike. Along with the photo, she wrote, “New beginnings, endless gratitude! Mee andari prema tho (With all your love), I’m stepping into Telugu cinema. Thank you @dirajaybhupathi sir for this opportunity. Chala excited to start this journey!” Her post instantly caught the eye of fans, many of whom expressed their excitement at seeing her expand her horizons into regional cinema.

The film’s director, Ajay Bhupathi, has built a reputation for crafting intense, character-driven stories. He rose to fame with RX100, the raw and gritty romantic drama that later inspired the Hindi remake Tadap. He followed it up with Maha Samudram, starring now-real-life couple Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari, and the thriller Mangalavaaram. With AB4, he is expected to bring his signature blend of emotion and drama while introducing two promising newcomers.
