On Instagram, an unknown Pakistani actress named Hira Soomro claimed that she was cast in Dhurandhar as Ranveer Singh’s romantic interest. She also claimed she rejected the offer after learning it was an anti-Pak film.

However, when this writer reached out to someone from the core team of Dhurandhar, he rubbished the lady’s claim. “What is she talking about? The female lead was never offered to this lady. No one in the Dhurandhar team has even heard of her. Anyone can make any claims these days. In order to prove herself a Pakistani patriot, she is claiming to have rejected a role that was never offered to her.”
Interestingly, a Pakistani national is seen to be keen to be associated with Dhurandhar although the film is perceived as anti-Pakistan.
