Actor Saiee M Manjrekar is set to be seen in India House, an upcoming period film produced by Ram Charan. Speaking about her experience of working on a film set in a different era, Saiee said the process has been both engaging and insightful.
“Working on a film based in a different era, the time period is very interesting. There’s a different texture, language, art, fashion that is truly exciting to be on sets for,” she shared. The actor added that period films require a different approach to performance, as even the smallest details influence how a character is portrayed. “It makes you slow down and observe things differently as an actor, because everything from the way people spoke to how they expressed emotions was so different.”
Saiee also noted that the film’s environment played an important role in helping her stay connected to the character. “Even the costumes and the overall environment help you stay in that world, and that really adds to the performance.” Reflecting on the larger takeaway from the project, she described it as a valuable learning experience. “For me, it has been a learning experience to understand that mindset and bring that honesty into the character.”
With its historical backdrop and early visual appeal, India House has already generated curiosity among audiences. For Saiee M Manjrekar, the film adds another varied role to her growing body of work as she continues to explore different genres and characters.
