Priyanka Chopra Jonas was honoured with the prestigious Global Vanguard Honor at Gold Gala 2026, held at The Music Center in downtown Los Angeles. The recognition is awarded to individuals shaping cross-cultural narratives and advancing global representation.
Priyanka, who has spent more than two decades building a career across Hindi cinema and Hollywood, was recognised for her contribution to bridging South Asian and Western entertainment industries. Over the years, she has emerged as one of the most visible South Asian faces in global mainstream entertainment.
The actor became the first South Asian performer to headline an American network drama with the television series Quantico. She later expanded her international presence through projects including Citadel, where she fronted solo global promotional campaigns.
Beyond acting, Priyanka has also established herself as a producer and entrepreneur. Through her production banner Purple Pebble Pictures, she has backed regional and independent stories while supporting emerging voices in cinema. Her influence across entertainment, fashion, business and advocacy has also earned her recognition on international platforms including TIME 100 and Forbes’ Most Powerful Women lists.
For the occasion, Priyanka made a strong statement in a custom couture creation by designer Amit Aggarwal in collaboration with stylist Ami Patel. The outfit was created using a two-decade-old Chikankari sari that was transformed into a contemporary sculptural gown, blending heritage Indian craftsmanship with modern couture design.

The ensemble reportedly took six weeks to complete, with women artisans hand-embroidering the textile stitch by stitch before it was reconstructed through Amit Aggarwal’s signature architectural style and intricate glass bead detailing. Priyanka paired the couture look with a statement necklace from Bvlgari.
The look celebrated Indian textiles and traditional craftsmanship while highlighting the contribution of women artisans — themes Priyanka has consistently supported through her international platform.
This year’s Gold Gala was held under the theme “A New Gold World,” celebrating cultural leadership and collective progress. Priyanka joined a list of honourees that included Charles Melton, Jet Li, Simu Liu and EJAE.
