The forthcoming episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s singing reality show, Indian Idol – Season 13 will welcome the cast of Shehzada, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon as their special guests for the ‘Girls vs Boys’ special episode. While the contestants will be competing to impress judges Himesh Reshammiya, and Vishal Dadlani along with the celebrity guests with their performances, the show will also see some of these contestant-fans showcasing their love for Kartik and Kriti.
Contestant Senjuti will be performing on the iconic song, ‘Deewani Mastani’ from the 2015 film Bajirao Mastani. Needless to say, it will be a treat for the audience. In fact, being impressed with her performance, Kartik Aaryan had said during the shoot of the show, “It was absolutely a Shehzada performance.” Kriti Sanon too joined her co-star in appreciating Senjuti’s voice as, ‘Unique!”
Along with that, the episode will also feature interesting banter between Senjuti and Kartik which happened around food. During the shoot of the show, Kartik admitted that he loves street food a lot. To his surprise, Senjuti had got him his favourite Chinese food from his ‘go-to’ eatery in Juhu. Thrilled with the surprise, Kartik Aaryan narrated how he came to be fond of this eatery. He said, “Sagar Chinese in Juhu is my favourite food joint. Whenever I finish shooting late at night, I go to Sagar Chinese. The restaurant owner has also named a dish after me called, ‘Kartik Special Rice.’”
Later, while taking a bite of the food, Kriti revealed how Kartik broke his diet for Senjuti and that it is a very special moment! Recalling the incident, contestant Senjuti shared, “I am a great fan of yours, and I know you frequently visit your favourite eatery post returning from shoot. I also know that your favourite dish is Burnt Garlic Rice with Veg. Manchurian. I used to go to that restaurant frequently in hopes of running into you one day.”
This will be featured in the episode that will air on Saturday, February 4. Talking of Indian Idol 13, it airs during the weekends at 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television. On the other hand, Shehzada will release on February 17.
