Known for his nuanced performances and understated screen presence, Ishwak Singh continues to steadily carve a space for himself as one of the most promising actors in Indian entertainment today. Having been part of critically acclaimed and widely celebrated projects across films and streaming platforms, the actor is now gearing up for an exciting slate of releases with Prakash Jha’s Janaadesh, Devashish Makhija’s Gandhari, and Gaurav Madan’s indie feature What Remains.

2026 is shaping up to be one of the most transformative phases in Ishwak’s career, with the actor taking on three vastly different characters across equally distinct cinematic worlds. Adding to the momentum, Ishwak has also started shooting for another project in Lucknow, the details of which are currently under wraps. Interestingly, for his upcoming roles, the actor has undergone extensive preparation and learned three different dialects and languages.

Speaking about the phase he is currently in, Ishwak shared, “This has been one of the most transformative phases for me as an actor. With projects like Prakash Jha’s Janaadesh, Devashish Makhija’s Gandhari, and Gaurav Madan’s What Remains in 2026, what makes this phase especially exciting is how distinctly different each story and character has been. Each project demanded extensive dialect and language training, and I found myself learning and working across different accents – from regional cadences to Bengali inflections to the nuanced musicality of a Pahadi dialect. Getting the dialect right was extremely important for me to fully step into the skin of each character, and the entire process has been deeply enriching.”

The actor added, “I’ve also recently started shooting for an exciting new project in Lucknow, though I can’t reveal much about it at the moment. Beyond the performances, collaborating with filmmakers and creative voices like Prakash Jha, Gaurav Madan, and Devashish Makhija has been immensely fulfilling because each of them brings such a unique perspective and energy to the table.”
