Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and singer Diljit Dosanjh have released a special video for ‘Kya Kamaal Hai’, a song that will play during the end credits of Main Vaapas Aaunga. The video was released ahead of the film’s theatrical run and was shot by Dosanjh during a break from his ongoing AURA Tour.

The video is conceived as a tribute to refugees displaced by conflict and persecution around the world. Alongside acknowledging themes of loss and displacement, it foregrounds human resilience and the collective strength that sustains those forced to leave their homes.
Imtiaz Ali said, “‘If I had a choice between death and leaving my home, I would have gladly chosen death. Unfortunately, I did not have such a choice.’ This is a quote from an anonymous refugee in the video. Migration has been one of the defining stories of our times. ‘Kya Kamaal Hai’ is dedicated to those forced to leave their homes because of war and hatred. It is a cry of hope and a salute to the resilience of mankind.”
He continued, “This special collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh is our expression of solidarity with those affected by such tragedies. Partition, which forms the basis of Main Vaapas Aaunga, forced millions to leave home, and that reality continues in many parts of the world today. We would like to present ‘Kya Kamaal Hai’ as a balm to heal ourselves in the present world.”
‘Kya Kamaal Hai’ brings together Diljit Dosanjh, A. R. Rahman, Imtiaz Ali, and lyricist Irshad Kamil.
Main Vaapas Aaunga stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina in pivotal roles.
The film is produced by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, alongside Mohit Choudhary and Shibasish Sarkar of Window Seat Films, and will be released worldwide by Birla Studios. Music is on Tips Music. Main Vaapas Aaunga opens in cinemas on June 12, 2026.
