Speaking openly about nepotism, during an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Namashi clarified his stance: “I don’t want to play the nepotism card. My father is a star, but I’ve struggled…” He recounted years of auditioning in Mumbai before landing his debut film, Bad Boy, which was offered to him.

Namashi confessed to briefly attempting to garner attention through paparazzi appearances but found it unproductive. He shared an anecdote about being recognized only for his association with social media influencer Orry, sparking introspection about his own efforts.

He said, “I tried doing that for a month. I used to rent out clothes and pose, but that didn’t get me any work, so I decided to stop doing it. Let me tell you a story from just last week. I was sitting in Soho House, and my friend asked me what I do for a living. I told him I’m an actor, and I’m Mithun’s son. He was very impressed. He saw my social media, and asked, ‘Bro are you friends with Orry?'”

Namashi further added, “I thought about all the hard work I’ve done to become a hero, the struggles I’ve had for three years in Aaram Nagar, I’m the son of such a big star, but here’s this guy who pouts and takes selfies and more people know him. I’m stressed, maybe I need to get spotted more. I want to be as famous as Orry. But in all seriousness, that’s not the kind of fame I want.”

Later, Namashi openly discussed the limited release of his debut film, Bad Boy, and his belief that its music deserved more promotion. He also conceded that pandemic-related delays might have affected its relevance and reflected on the impact of negative reviews.
