Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who are known as the power couple of B-town, recently extended their support towards a social cause. The couple were seen promoting their association with the famous cleanliness drive Swachh Bharat campaign kicked off by our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The actors took to social media, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, to share a video with both of championing the need to maintain hygiene.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have taken time from their respective work commitments to shoot for a special campaign that promotes the cleanliness drive Swachh Bharat Campaign. In the video, the couple seen listing down benefits of maintaining a healthy environment and how they are teaching the next generation, especially their sons Taimur and Jeh the value of maintaining this kind of discipline to protect the surroundings. While Kareena made this appeal to her viewers as a ‘mother’ urging the viewers to participate in it, Saif insisted, “It is not just about keeping the surroundings clean but to show to our children that a healthy environment is the way to lead a happy life”.
Furthermore, in the same video, the actress quoted Mahatma Gandhi’s famous saying on the occasion of his birth anniversary, “Change comes from within” and promoted her dream of a clean India. Meanwhile, her husband Saif Ali Khan appreciated the immense hard work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who helped in spreading this campaign across the country and encouraged everyone to showcase support to such a noble initiative. Kareena posted this video on her social media saying, “Let’s unite for a cleaner and greener India! A heartfelt shoutout to #SHS2024 and the amazing Swacchagrahis who are championing this cause”.
